Andrew
Bone was born in Zimbabwe in 1957.It was at Imire Game
Ranch that he began painting and discovered that people wanted to
buy his work.
He started dealing with local galleries where his
early work was always in demand. In 1990, Andrew decided to
venture into the international market. He headed to the U.S.A.
where he discovered the shows that suited his type of art and has
since made convincing headway in the international art world. He
has had successful one-man exhibitions and each year he travels
to the U.S. to exhibit at the famed Safari Club International
show in Reno and the wildlife and conservation show in
Charleston.
His heart remains in the country of his birth. He
needs to be surrounded by the sights and smells of his beloved
Africa, where every painting he portrays on canvas, he himself
has witnessed.
Linda
Lemon was born in Zimbabwe and currently resides in
South Africa. Her love for the African bushveld inspired her to
experiment with pastels and oils in order to capture its harsh
beauty and energy. Linda has an eye for detail and realism means
that her work is sought after by private collectors in the United
States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Linda is dedicated to promoting nature, art and conservation
worldwide.
Charlotte
Firbank-King was born in South Africa in 1944. At the
age of six her family moved to the Victoria Falls, Zambia. It was
here that Charlotte developed a deep love for the African bush
and all the inhabitants. She received art lessons
from the age of three and completed a three year
diploma in art at the Pretoria Art College (South Africa) in
1965. Charlotte has an extensive reference library and also
undertakes numerous research trips, using her photographs to
paint from. Charlotte has had her work exhibited in many
galleries around South Africa, including the Everard Reed and
Karen McKerron Galleries in Johannesburg, and the P.E. Art
Gallery and Ron Belling Gallery in Port Elizabeth, South
Africa.
Trish
Perrevos In the early stages of her career, Trish owned
a commercial art business specialising in retail advertising and
graphic design. She sold the company after several years and
utilised the proceeds to launch a career in fine art. Initially
working in the field of acrylic portraiture, specialising in
urban African faces, the artist held her first exhibition at the
Crake Gallery in Johannesburg, after which she moved into
wildlife art in the medium of oil, and has exhibited in all the
major galleries in South Africa. Her wildlife studies have been
bought by collectors in Europe, the U.S.A. And Australia, and
have been published in The Directors Collection, and reproduced
as prints, calendars, and jigsaw puzzles.
Evelyn
Stoyanov was born in Bulgaria in 1962. His fascination
for African culture, history and the environment began during his
childhood years, and his eagerness to explore Africa in more
detail, developed through his studies of African Ceramics at the
Special School of Fine Arts. After completing his studies at the
Bulgarian Institute of Fine Arts, Evelyn moved to Germany where
he started freelance painting and taught at an Institute of Fine
Arts. His professional career as a wildlife artist began in 1995
when he moved to South Africa where he was commissioned to
produce his first wildlife painting. This turned out to be a
great success and, since then he has been engaged in refining his
techniques in his quest to explore and master the aesthetics of
form, movement and beauty of the indigenous wildlife of Southern
Africa. Evelyn has a passion for wildlife distinguishes his
depictions in terms of the raw energy latent in his works, and
drives his desire to capture the essence of the animals that he
paints.
John
Louw was born in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa in 1931.
John started his career in silkscreen printing and graphic art,
and then entered the curio field making animal models and
marketing copper plaques and statuettes. He studied oil painting
at the Natal Technical College and, since 1993, has been a full
time artist. Self taught, John is continuously developing and
experimenting with different techniques and believes that an
artist never stops learning. He prefers working with oils on
canvas, especially African wildlife scenes, and having studied
anatomy and colour harmony, John is equally good with figure
studies, finding that his experience in sculpting has given him
an advantage in giving precision and reality to his paintings.
His work is exhibited and sold at all major galleries and shows
both in South Africa and internationally. The essence of Africa
is captured in his wildlife work.
